Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8 amβ4:30 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Rallye Tire & Auto Services at (203) 854-5666; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
With 4.1 out of 5 on Google from 40 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for auto repair shops in Norwalk. Recent reviews are the best guide.
Norwalk is in Connecticut, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Norwalk is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Connecticut's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Honestly very happy with my experience here. I was expecting to pay much more, nearly double than what I actually paid. He didnβt even bill me for a full hour of work, when Iβm sure many other shops wouldβve drilled into my pockets for the same service or wouldβve billed a full hour if able. Reading through the reviews on this thread, it seems as if many of the one-star reviews involve being towed. Of course if your cars towed youβre going to have a horrible experience. Shame to see this shop owner becoming the punching bag. All in all, my opinion is that heβs a skillful mechanic and trustworthy guy. Will go back again in the unfortunate event of car trouble.

Thank you so much! David literally stayed after hours to get the part I needed and had my vehicle ready first thing the next morning. He called around and fixed my issue. Canβt say e out positive things about this family/veteran owned business .

So My Car was towed to this location Saturday night . The car was in great condition as it is only a 2017. When I went to retrieve my car the the traction light had came on and would not turn off. As I drove the car off the lot my steering and wheels were not in alignment . When trying to drive straight my car would veer off significantly to the left side. Unsure of what the issue was I had called the this company to see if anything had happened to the vehicle while it was stored at this location. The person who worked there was super insensitive to the issue and said he would call back once he spoke to his driver . He Never called back. I called this morning only for the person to be extremely rude asking me questions about personal business as to why the car was towed. He went as far as accusing me of hitting something after taking my car to pep boys and discovering that my driver side tire rods had been bent , Again something that was not there before my car had been towed to this location. A $1500 repair that was not there prior to my vehicle being handled by this company ! I would not recommend this company at all No bedtime manners and no sense of customer service !

Got into an accident on a Friday that unfortunately resulted in having to total my car. When the police called a tow truck, my car was towed here. Got charged $131 for storage fees just for having my car there over the weekend (when they're closed) until the salvage yard that paid me $175 for the car picked it up for free the following Monday morning, despite the sign that reads $25/day for storage when you walk in. When I went to pick up the leftover money from the salvage yard, that $131 inexplicably got rounded up to $140. Please avoid this shop if you want honest service done on your car, they will take advantage of you.

What a great group and great service! The crew here took my car in quickly for my first ever visit and they handled my problem within hours. They had been recommended by two different local friends. Also, the price was great and the service was quick, easy and right-on. If you're seeking an honest repair in the Norwalk area, I can recommend Rallye!
